I downloaded a John Green sampler book for my nook which contained bits of 4 of his books. Abundance of Katherines, Paper Towns, Looking for Alaska and The Fault in our Stars. I mainly got it because I wanted to read a bit of Looking for Alaska because this book was recomended to me after I purchased one of my favorite books, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I built unecessary expectancies for Alaska to be somewhat like Perks, so instead of purchasing Alaska and be completely dissapointed, I downloaded the sampler. Which trust me I am so thankful for! Not because Alaska turned out to be bad, which it didn’t the book was entertaining and mind blowing, best piece of literature I’ve read in a long time, I am thankful because after finnishing Alaska, I read the rest of the sampler and became COMPLETELY obsessed with John Green novels, like, its all I think of. I work at a place were you get employee member rewards points everytime you do something good, I have 450 hard earned points (trust me they are hard to come by) I was searching through the book section and I saw that they had his books for only 44 points a piece which made absolutely excited! So I bought Paper Towns and an Abundance of Katherines and I can’t wait for them to arrive, I have a huge test on Tuesday so I hope they come after Tuesday because I know I will not study knowing I have two amazing books waiting for me to read! Aaaaah I can’t for them to come!

The good times and the bad times both will pass. It will pass. It will get easier. But the fact that it will get easier does not mean that it doesn’t hurt now. And when people try to minimize your pain they are doing you a disservice. And when you try to minimize your own pain you’re doing yourself a disservice. Don’t do that. The truth is that it hurts because it’s real. It hurts because it mattered. And that’s an important thing to acknowledge to yourself. But that doesn’t mean that it won’t end, that it won’t get better. Because it will. John Green (via creatingaquietmind)
